GPC Asphalt_Geocomposite
Asphalt Geocomposite is made of a layer of Geotextile reinforced with glass fibers. This product delays the growth of reflective cracks on the new asphalt pavements. Furthermore, it can act as a sealing material when combined with bitumen.
The asphalt geocomposite consists of geogrid made of woven glass fibers coated with PVC and combined with high-temperature resistant polypropylene geotextiles. In addition to the characteristics of asphalt geogrid, asphalt geocomposite also acts as a separation layer. The remarkable feature of this product is that when exposed to bitumen, it acts as a waterproof layer and prevents water penetration to the layer below. This is an important function in road construction in areas with high rainfalls because it does not allow water to penetrate the underlying layers, thus lowering the possibility of scouring and reducing the substrate’s resistance.
